On November 3, the Government Office issued Document No. 8662/VPCP-KGVX conveying the opinion of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on the Lunar New Year and National Day holidays in 2024.
Specifically, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs with two major, long holidays this year.
According to the selected plan, civil servants and public employees will have Tet holiday in 2024 from Thursday, February 8, 2024 to Wednesday, February 14, 2024 (ie December 29, Quy Mao year to January 5, Giap Thin year).

For the National Day holiday, officials and civil servants will have 4 consecutive days off, from Saturday, August 31, 2024 to Tuesday, September 3 (including 2 National Day holidays and 2 weekly days off).
The Prime Minister assigned the Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to notify administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations, socio-political organizations, enterprises and workers about the Lunar New Year and National Day holidays in 2024 to proactively plan implementation.
