Before Christmas, many churches in the province are brightly decorated and lit up. Among them, the ancient church of No Luc Parish, Thuy Van Commune, Viet Tri City, is a hundred years old with impressive architectural style, still retaining its ancient features and historical story.
No Luc Church (No Luc Parish, Thuy Van Commune, Viet Tri City) was first built in 1882 and expanded in 1936 with Western architectural style.
According to historical documents, Thuy Van village was formerly called Bau No. Catholicism was introduced here around 1590 - 1600. No Luc parish was established in 1710. (Photo: Document)
This is also the place that received the Gospel the earliest (in 1590) and is considered the "cradle" of Christianity in Phu Tho.
The church has a dome architecture. This architectural style was very popular in Catholic churches in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The door system is also built in an arched structure.
The sanctuary is where the masses are celebrated, painted red and gilded.
The bell tower enhances the ancient beauty of the century-old church.
