At the beginning of the program, provincial leaders, poets and artists attending the poetry night burned incense before the poetry altar to commemorate Poet Ho Chi Minh.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Le Van Bai, Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, affirmed that the organization of the 23rd Vietnam Poetry Day this year in Duyen Hai town aims to continue to honor the precious heritages in the nation's poetry treasure. He affirmed that poetry is the quintessence of literature, art and national culture.

The typical works of poets, poems set to music by musicians and authors performed on Poetry Day today praise the Party, Uncle Ho, homeland, country, love, sea, islands... are recited sweetly by artists, expressing the beauty of the country and people of Vietnam. All contribute to the diversity and richness of poetry, literary and artistic activities of Tra Vinh province, beautifying the long-standing culture of the Vietnamese people.

At the beginning of the poetry night, delegates enjoyed the poem Than by Ly Thuong Kiet and listened to the recitation of the poem Nguyen Tieu by President Ho Chi Minh... Next, with the theme "Flying up the Fatherland", over 300 delegates and poetry lovers enjoyed nearly 20 performances, which were works by poets, writers, musicians with poems, songs set to music, dances... with rich content, praising the Communist Party of Vietnam, Uncle Ho and the love for the homeland, the country, the positive changes, the development of the homeland, the aspiration to contribute to the cause of building and developing the country, of Tra Vinh province and Duyen Hai homeland.

Speaking at the program, comrade Nguyen Quynh Thien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed: Vietnamese people have a tradition of loving poetry and Vietnamese poetry has always accompanied the country's history, is a manifestation of the will and national spirit in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

The 23rd Vietnam Poetry Day this year, with the theme "The Fatherland flies up", is meant to further promote the spirit of great national unity, making Poetry Day a cultural and artistic event to celebrate the Party, celebrate Spring, celebrate the country's renewal, and commemorate major holidays and important political events of Tra Vinh province in 2025.
