Dong Hoa Ward Youth Union (Di An City) organizes "Youth Workers Festival"

Weekend playground

"Weekend playground" is an activity at boarding house branches maintained regularly by the Di An City Youth Union. In response to the Youth Union Week, the Dong Hoa Ward Youth Union coordinated with the Organizing Committee of the Solidarity Project, gathering young workers and young workers of the ward to organize the "Youth Festival" and the "Weekend Playground" program. The activity attracted more than 100 union members, young workers and children to participate enthusiastically. During the program, young workers participated in folk game booths with prizes, exchanged plastic waste for gifts, and were instructed to activate level 2 electronic identification. The program's organizing committee also held a talk on "Youth with startups and careers in the 4.0 era"; commended exemplary Youth Union branch heads; presented 10 gifts to young workers in difficult circumstances, each worth 500,000 VND, and presented 10 gifts to children of young workers in difficult circumstances, worth 4 million VND/gift.

Mr. Bui The Duy, Secretary of Dong Hoa Ward Youth Union, said: “Through this activity, the project’s Organizing Committee and the Ward Youth Union have shown their concern for the young workers living and working in the ward. The “Weekend Playground” activity also helps workers have fun and relax after work hours…”.

Together with Dong Hoa Ward Youth Union, Binh Thang Ward Youth Union - Youth Association also organized the program "Weekend Playground" with practical and joyful content. Free haircut booths, food, "Choose the right price" contest and free statue painting all attracted many young workers and children of workers and laborers to participate. On this occasion, the Ward Youth Union - Association also promoted the implementation of cultural and civilized urban lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals. The program brought joy, helped workers dispel fatigue and have a truly rewarding weekend entertainment.

Workers' Day

During the Youth Union Week, wards in Di An City focused on caring for and supporting young workers and laborers. By innovating to create a vibrant atmosphere, the Organizing Committee of the Solidarity Project, gathering young workers and young laborers in Binh An Ward organized a "Workers' Festival". The festival had a variety of activities and was completely free for workers. In particular, free haircuts, "Loving Ao Dai - Gifts for sisters", cultural exchanges, food stalls, fruit and vegetable stalls and instructions to support people in activating level 2 electronic identification, creating online public service accounts, attracted a large number of young workers and laborers to participate. The Youth Union and the Youth Union of the ward also organized a red address journey "Connecting young workers" at Chau Thoi Mountain. During the festival activities, the ward's project organizing committee presented 35 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances with a total gift value of 10.5 million VND.

In Tan Binh Ward, the Ward Youth Union coordinated with the Youth Union of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Youth Union of the Department of Urban Management to organize a "Zero-VND booth". Many workers and laborers in difficult circumstances in the ward received many free necessities such as rice, instant noodles, cooking oil, soy sauce, laundry detergent... The above activities contributed to encouraging young workers and laborers to work hard, produce, and improve their lives.

Responding to the activities of Workers' Month and Youth Union Week, the Youth Union, Youth Union, and Women's Union of An Binh Ward have just coordinated with the Youth Union of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, the Youth Union of the Administrative Management Police Department for Social Order, and the Youth Union of the Professional Records - Inspection Department (Provincial Police) to organize the program "Youth Union Festival 2023". On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the festival presented 20 gifts worth 10 million VND to workers in difficult circumstances. Participating in the festival, young workers also learned about the crime situation and drug abuse. From there, workers raised their awareness and joined hands to prevent crime and drug abuse.
