Overview of the meeting

According to the Project, the total length of the entire Saigon River route is about 98.2km, and will be oriented to connect with the parallel roads of Ring Road 3, Ring Road 4, DT744 and a number of projects being implemented in the riverside road corridor: An Son Port Cluster, An Tay, Phu Cuong Thinh, etc.

Of which, the section through Thuan An City is 13.6km long with a road width of 32m, has 6 lanes, and follows the existing Saigon River dike (20-40m from the riverbank). The section through Thu Dau Mot City is 16.7km long with a road width of 14 - 32m. The section through Ben Cat City is 27.9km long with a road width of 28 - 36.5m. The section through Dau Tieng District is 39.79km long with a road width of 32m.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh basically agreed with the content of the Project report. The Saigon River route will be one of the key traffic routes connecting the region to contribute to the socio-economic development of the province to realize the Provincial Planning: "Developing the Saigon River corridor is one of the driving forces for development in the Southern Dynamic Zone - developing regional traffic connecting key areas, enhancing infrastructure development, creating public spaces, serving traffic and urban development along the river...". The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted that it is necessary to urgently complete the Project, select appropriate investment options for each route section and investment phase.
