(NLDO) - The Director and Deputy Director of Inspection Center 81-05D received from 5 to 15 million VND from vehicle owners and drivers to carry out fake acceptance procedures.
On December 23, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Procuracy completed the indictment to prosecute Mr. Tran Minh Luong (54 years old), Director and Mr. Le Dinh Vuong (42 years old), Deputy Director of the Motor Vehicle Inspection Center 81-05D of Gia Lai province for the crime of "Receiving bribes".
According to the investigation results, in order to increase revenue for the 81-05D Motor Vehicle Inspection Center, Mr. Luong agreed to accept and inspect the modified vehicles but did not have the required design documents for the modification.
The Director and Deputy Director of the 81-05D Motor Vehicle Inspection Center received from 5 to 15 million VND/vehicle to buy documents and inspect the vehicles.
In 2021 and 2022, Mr. Luong and Mr. Vuong received an amount of 5 - 15 million VND/vehicle from vehicle owners, drivers and brokers to buy fake renovation design documents, legalize the procedures for acceptance of renovation and inspection for the vehicles.
After that, both of them contacted companies with the function of designing and constructing road motor vehicle renovations, including: An Binh Automobile Technical Service Company Limited, Alpha Automobile Company Limited, Duc Thinh Automobile Technical Design Service Company Limited, and Tien Phong Automobile Technical and Service Joint Stock Company to buy fake documents at a price of 5-8 million VND/document.
In total, Mr. Luong and Mr. Vuong bought 318 design documents for vehicle renovation at the 81-05D Inspection Center. Of which, Mr. Luong received over 776 million VND from 53 individuals to buy 106 documents, and Mr. Vuong received 266 million VND from 29 individuals to buy 31 documents.
In addition, from 2018 to 2020, Mr. Vuong, an inspector and Deputy Director of Inspection Center 81-03D (under Gia Lai Motor Vehicle Inspection Company Limited), received 58 million VND to buy 7 fake renovation design documents, carry out acceptance and inspection procedures at this inspection center.
Investigate companies selling fake profiles
Regarding individuals belonging to companies that exported fake design and renovation documents for use by the 81-05D Inspection Center to accept and inspect self-converted motor vehicles without design documents, the Investigation Police Agency - Gia Lai Provincial Police has separated the related content and transferred it to the Investigation Police Agency of assigned localities to conduct investigation and handle according to regulations.
