The difference between SJC gold bar price and the world price is at a record low.

(NLDO) – The price of SJC gold bars and gold rings remained above 91 million VND/tael on the weekend morning.

On the morning of February 22, the price of SJC gold bars was listed by SJC, PNJ, and DOJI companies at VND89.4 million/tael for buying and VND91.7 million/tael for selling, stable compared to the end of yesterday.

Some companies like Mi Hong lowered the price of gold bars even further, to 91.3 million VND/tael.

On the free market, the price of SJC gold bars is quoted by some gold shops at around 90.4 million VND/tael for buying and 91.4 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 200,000 VND/tael compared to yesterday.

The difference between buying and selling prices widened to VND2.3 million/tael in the context of strong fluctuations in gold prices.

Similarly, the price of 99.99 gold rings and jewelry gold was also stable when SJC Company listed the buying price at 89.3 million VND/tael and the selling price at 91.4 million VND/tael.

PNJ Company raised the buying price of gold rings to 90.1 million VND/tael, selling price equal to the price of gold bars around 91.7 million VND/tael.

In the international market, the price of gold today closed the trading week at 2,936 USD/ounce, slightly down from the end of yesterday. During the day, the price of gold fluctuated strongly by tens of USD/ounce. The precious metal is at an all-time high after surpassing the 2,900 USD/ounce mark.

In just the past month, the world gold price has increased by 180 USD/ounce (nearly 6.6%). According to analysts, the precious metal is being supported by the safe haven demand from investors. Not only individual investors, international organizations but also central banks of countries have increased their gold purchases. The SPDR Gold Trust has just continued to buy more than 20 tons of gold in the session on February 22.

However, many opinions also warn that gold prices may adjust sharply in the short term after increasing continuously in recent weeks. According to gold expert Tran Duy Phuong, the price of gold, which closed the trading week below 2,940 USD/ounce, may continue to decrease in the coming days, especially when the demand for profit-taking at the end of February increases.

Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 90.9 million VND/tael, lower than SJC gold bars and gold rings by about 800,000 VND/tael. This is a record low difference in the past 2 years. Previously, the record difference between SJC gold bars and world gold prices was up to 18-20 million VND/tael.
