Slashing lover's face, disfiguring it due to emotional conflict in Long An

(Dan Tri) - Due to a love conflict, Quy took a knife to Tuyen's house and slashed the victim many times in the face and head, causing the woman to be hospitalized in critical condition.

On December 7, Duc Hoa District Police, Long An Province, temporarily detained Nguyen Ngoc Quy (37 years old, local resident) to investigate the act of intentionally causing injury. The victim was Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tuyen (43 years old, Duc Hoa District resident).

At around 3:00 p.m. on December 1, Quy drove his motorbike from his house in Hiep Hoa commune to Tan Binh hamlet, Hoa Khanh Tay commune (Duc Hoa district) to look for Ms. Tuyen.

At the gate, Quy pushed Ms. Tuyen down and then took a knife and slashed her face and head many times. Even though the victim begged, Quy did not let her go.

When Ms. Tuyen was seriously injured and unconscious, Quy dropped the knife and prepared to leave the scene on his motorbike when he was arrested by the Hoa Khanh Tay Commune Police. The victim was taken to Xuyen A General Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City for emergency treatment with a deformed face.

At the investigation agency, Quy stated that the reason for slashing Ms. Tuyen was due to a love conflict. The local police handed Quy over to Duc Hoa District Police for investigation and handling according to the law.
