At nearly 4:00 p.m. this afternoon (February 13), District 3 authorities were still coordinating with professional units to investigate the cause of the fire at 157 Hai Ba Trung, Vo Thi Sau Ward (near Turtle Lake).

According to initial information, at around 3pm, people discovered a fire at a kindergarten at this address. Immediately after, many people shouted to report the fire.

A gas station employee (on the opposite side of the street) and many people used mini fire extinguishers to approach and put out the fire, but were unsuccessful.

According to some witnesses, at the time of the fire, many students in the kindergarten were evacuated outside by authorities.

The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team, District 3 Police dispatched vehicles and many soldiers to the scene to rescue and put out the fire.

Police also blocked off a section of Hai Ba Trung Street and Tran Cao Van Street to assist in firefighting.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.

Mr. Pham Dang Khoa - Head of the Department of Education and Training of District 3 confirmed the information that as soon as the fire was discovered, students and teachers of the school were evacuated and all were safe.
