On July 29, information from the leader of the People's Committee of Nhon Ly commune (Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh) said that in this commune, a 3-year-old child was bitten by a dog causing many injuries while traveling with his family.
That is the case of NVMA, the son of Mr. NVH (32 years old). Mr. H.'s family traveled from Binh Phuoc to Quy Nhon City on July 25. On July 27, his family went to Nhon Ly commune to play and rented a homestay to stay.
At around 4 p.m. the same day, Mr. H.'s family went sightseeing in Eo Gio area (Nhon Ly commune). About 1 hour later, his family left Eo Gio to the blue stone road in Nhon Ly commune to walk and see the mural paintings.

While walking, a stray dog jumped and bit MA. The victim's family immediately chased the dog away and took him to Nhon Ly commune health station for first aid.
Due to the severity of the injury, A. was transferred by his family to a higher-level hospital in Quy Nhon City, but because there was no rabies vaccine, A. was transferred to Thu Phuc General Hospital.
The victim was hospitalized with multiple scratches and bites on his face and neck. The wounds were 4-6cm in size, with the wound under his chin being 8cm long, deep and tearing in multiple directions.
At Thu Phuc General Hospital, doctors immediately injected rabies vaccine, then cleaned, debrided, treated with medicine and sutured the wound. There were about 30 wounds on the face and neck area, doctors worked continuously for 2 hours to suture all the dog bite wounds.
Currently, the baby's health is stable, no fever, dry wounds but needs to stay in the hospital for monitoring and treatment.
After the above incident, the homestay owner refunded the room rent to Mr. H., helped his family take the child to the hospital and let him stay in a house in Quy Nhon city while the family treated NVMA.
Mr. H. said that his family does not ask for compensation, they just hope that people will be more aware of vaccinating dogs and cats and not letting them roam the streets.
After the incident, representatives of the People's Committee of Nhon Ly commune came to encourage, visit and apologize to Mr. H's family. At the same time, they affirmed that they would find a solution to deal with the situation of dogs roaming on the streets, especially on walking routes.
