On May 22, 2023, at the 5th session of the 15th National Assembly, comrade Dang Quoc Khanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ha Giang province was elected and approved by the National Assembly to hold the position of Minister of Natural Resources and Environment for the 2021-2026 term.

The National Assembly's resolution approving the appointment of comrade Dang Quoc Khanh as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment was passed with 91.9% of delegates in favor.
