Performance in the program

A special art program in memory of musician Hoang Viet on the occasion of his 95th birthday was organized by the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Culture - Sports and the Music Association - City Television, and performed by the City Light Music Center.

Musician Hoang Viet is also known by other pen names such as Le Truc, Hoang Viet Han and Le Quynh. Le Chi Truc is the birth name of musician Hoang Viet. He was born on February 28, 1928 in Cho Lon and died on December 31, 1967 on the bank of A Rat canal, My Thien village, Cai Be district, Tien Giang province at the age of 39 and left behind many unfinished works.

Growing up in the capital city of Saigon, Le Chi Truc composed from a very early age, then followed the call of the country, joined the resistance, was gathered in the North, was sent by the Vietnam Conservatory of Music to study at the Bulgarian Conservatory of Music, and graduated with honors with the symphony "Homeland".

And "Homeland" - the first symphony of Vietnamese music - was performed three times in the country known as the land of roses. Returning to the country, after the symphony "Homeland" was performed at the Hanoi Opera House, musician Hoang Viet volunteered to cross the Truong Son mountain range, returning to the South, which was still in the midst of war.

And in the midst of the war, musician Hoang Viet lived, composed and fought until his last breath.

The special narration makes the show more complete.

Hoang Viet love songs are very familiar to the public because the lyrics and melodies have echoed throughout the journey of the nation's war to defend its homeland.

More than 60 years, a very long time, but those lyrics, that melody, still resonate, passionately... More than 60 years... the flow of time, the flow of national history continues to pass, but the musical works of musician Hoang Viet are still anchored in the memories and hearts of many generations.

Over time, Hoang Viet's musical works have further enhanced our self-esteem and pride.

Drama in music is a technique that needs to be replicated to soften the traditional program.

Taking on the role of narrator, Meritorious Artist Huu Quoc told a story and the way the program used small plays to simulate the portrait of musician Hoang Viet helped the audience deeply and completely feel musician Hoang Viet and his love songs.

That is also the beauty and difference of this program. This is also the way that many programs should apply to make a program with traditional colors more flexible, gentle and colorful.
