Parents love their children very much and want to give them the best. But parents want to choose a different major and school for their children even though the children do not really love or are passionate about that major and school.
When choosing a career, if you are passionate, you will be successful. If you are not interested, you will not be successful. No matter how much your parents force you, you will not learn.
We, the admissions team, have seen many students who enter university and are forced to drop out because it is not what they thought it was or what they were passionate about.
Generation Z now, if you don't like it, you can't do anything. If you don't like it, you will quit and when your parents find out you quit, it's too late. Therefore, parents should sit down and listen to their children say what they think.
Parents should share with their children to find the best direction, so that they can develop their own abilities.
Parents should not worry too much because when children are good, job opportunities will come. And when children are good at knowledge and skills, they will have opportunities for advancement in work and therefore income.
I am only worried when children cannot orient their future. If they can orient their future, parents should accompany and share to find the best future for their children.
