The highlight match of LION Championship 19 took place on the evening of November 16th between Ly Van Huynh and Armando de Crescenzo. The South African boxer won by knockout via choke.
After a trademark left kick to the stomach, Ly Van Huynh thought he could knock out his opponent, but Armando’s tenacity dragged the match back to a stalemate. The Vietnamese representative continuously launched kicks and “ribs”, but he could not knock out his opponent.

Armando quickly closed in and applied a chokehold, not giving Ly Van Huynh a chance to defend. The referee had to intervene to stop the attack before awarding the victory to Armando de Crescenzo.
The submission helped Armando de Crescenzo become the second champion of the LION Championship in the 77kg weight class. Previously, the first champion was also a foreign fighter - Aleksei Filonenko (Russia) in 2022.

Viewers watching the LION Championship last night witnessed many knockouts by choke. In the women's 52kg category, Lo Thi Phung continued to show the strength of the national jujitsu champion. The match ended after 1 minute and 49 seconds when Lo Thi Phung used a rear-naked choke to force Ngoc Bich to surrender.
In the 56kg match, Tran Trong Kim and Bui Dinh Khai brought a spectacular double match. With experience and superior punching power at the age of 36, Trong Kim stunned the young boxer born in 2001 after his first punch. After two rounds of continuous exchange, Tran Trong Kim anticipated Dinh Khai's approach and delivered a low kick. The shock from the punch caused Dinh Khai to lose his composure and fall into Trong Kim's chokehold right in the middle of the ring.
LION Championship 19 also witnessed two more notable finishes by boxers Tran Viet Anh (against Nguyen Trung Hai in the 65kg category) and Bach Van Nghia (against Phan Huy Hoang in the 60kg category). Both won by rear-naked chokes.
