Scene inside Tan Son Nhat airport before September 2nd holiday

TPO - On the evening of August 30, many passengers arrived at Tan Son Nhat Airport (HCMC), preparing to depart for tourist destinations or visit family during the September 2 holiday.
During the 4-day National Day holiday on September 2, Tan Son Nhat Airport is expected to welcome nearly 500,000 passengers and more than 2,800 flights, an increase of 8% compared to normal days.
On its peak day, the airport is expected to serve more than 125,000 passengers with 730 flights. This is higher than the normal daily average of about 110,000 passengers and 660 flights.
During the afternoon and evening of August 30, the number of passengers arriving at Tan Son Nhat Airport increased day by day. However, there was no scene of crowding or jostling.
According to a representative of Tan Son Nhat International Airport, during the peak service period for the September 2nd holiday this year, the airport has coordinated with units to develop plans and solutions to serve passengers, ensuring security, order, and safe operations.
The check-in counter was crowded with passengers checking in.
Many passengers were carrying a lot of luggage and hurried to catch their flight.
During peak days, the Youth Union of Tan Son Nhat International Airport and the Youth Union of Vietnam Aviation Academy will support passengers at the security screening area and the public lobby of the domestic terminal during peak hours from 5am to 9am.
At the waiting area for technology cars, many passengers with luggage are waiting for the car.
During the September 2nd holiday this year, Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region are forecast to have thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Therefore, Tan Son Nhat International Airport said it will closely coordinate with the Aviation Meteorological Center to strengthen meteorological monitoring and forecasting.
On that basis, the port will proactively and promptly notify about weather developments that affect flight operations, especially weather trends and adverse weather phenomena to have reasonable flight operations and exploitation plans.
