( Bqp.vn ) - Within the framework of the visit, exchange and experience sharing of ship CSB 8004 in Korea, on the morning of November 6, in the waters of Yeosu city, Jeolla Nam province (Korea), the Vietnam Coast Guard and the Korean Coast Guard coordinated to organize a joint exercise on search and rescue at sea.

In the hypothetical scenario, during a joint patrol mission in international waters, the Vietnam Coast Guard and the Korean Coast Guard discovered a strange ship illegally entering the country. Immediately after identifying the strange ship, with the support of helicopters, the two sides quickly maneuvered, approached, inspected and identified 4 violators. During the inspection by the authorities, two subjects panicked and jumped into the sea to escape. Immediately, the two forces organized a search, rescue, first aid for the victims and brought them safely to the Vietnam Coast Guard ship to continue handling steps in accordance with international law and the laws of both sides.

According to the Organizing Committee, the joint training has achieved its goals and requirements. Through this activity, the maritime law enforcement forces of the two countries have enhanced their coordination, improved their information exchange, command organization, coordination, and use of forces and means, as well as their ability to handle situations. At the same time, it has contributed to improving the maritime law enforcement capacity of the Vietnam Coast Guard and the Korean Coast Guard.

The friendly sports matches between the two forces took place in a friendly and exciting atmosphere and received enthusiastic cheers from fans on both sides.
