In the first days of the Year of the Dragon 2024, the atmosphere at Chu Lai port is bustling with cargo ships arriving at the port, bringing joy and aspirations for development in the new year.

THACO 1
On the first day of Tet, Chu Lai port welcomed the container ship CNC JAWA (CMA CGM) as its "first port call".

On the same day, the port also received the ship SITC HAINAN (SITC) to load and unload a total of nearly 400 containers of import and export goods with a variety of items such as: industrial products, fruits, agricultural products, spare parts, etc. The port arranged means and personnel to load and unload goods, quickly released the ship, ensuring safe maritime operations.

On the same day, the port received the additional ship SITC HAINAN (SITC).

Next, from the 2nd to the 6th day of Tet, the port received the CNC BANGKOK ship, loading and unloading nearly 220 containers. At the same time, it welcomed the JIN MING 68 ship to serve the export of nearly 15,000 tons of iron ore from Laos to China for businesses. This is also the 9th mineral export ship through the port since the fourth quarter of 2023, with a total output of nearly 132,000 tons, forecasting strong growth of this item in 2024. From Chu Lai port, businesses' goods will be exported and imported conveniently at optimal costs.

From 2024, Chu Lai port will complete and put into operation the newly expanded port with a specialized crane system for STS container ships and a semi-automatic RTG tire-mounted crane; upgrade the Ky Ha channel to accommodate large-capacity ships. At the same time, deploy and apply ePort electronic port software, perform electronic customs procedures, electronic payments, etc.; apply PL - TOS software in bulk cargo operations to facilitate customers' contactless transactions, update the status of actual ship and cargo data, improve service efficiency towards the goal of forming a seaport technology ecosystem. The port aims to reach nearly 5 million tons of cargo throughput in 2024 (an increase of 62% compared to 2023).

THACO 3
From the 4th day of Tet, THILOTRANS transported agricultural materials and convoyed fresh fruit from farms in Laos and Cambodia to Chu Lai port.

In addition to maritime transport activities, road transport activities also took place bustlingly during the 2024 Lunar New Year. Right from the 4th day of Tet, THILOTRANS Road Transport Corporation transported 10 cross-border shipments of fruit for THACO AGRI Group and more than 300 tons of cassava starch for Attapeu Cassava Processing Company from Laos to Chu Lai port for export. Next, the unit also arranged more than 20 vehicles to transport nearly 16,000 tons of wood chips for Thanh Thanh Dat Company, meeting the import and export needs of businesses from the beginning of the year.

THACO 4
THILOTRANS arranged 20 vehicles to transport nearly 16,000 tons of wood chips for Thanh Thanh Dat Company to export from Chu Lai port to the Chinese market.
