Join hands to build new countryside
Implemented since 2020, the model of "5 party members help one household escape poverty" of Dak Song District Party Committee has been effective and widespread in the community and people. Accordingly, to provide practical and effective assistance, Dak Song District bases its assignment on the actual number of poor households and party members. The assistance is based on the causes, actual needs and desires of poor households, so it brings about clear results.
Up to now, through the model of “5 party members help one household escape poverty”, cadres and party members of the whole district have contributed to helping 273 households escape poverty. It is worth mentioning that the joint efforts and leadership of cadres and party members have truly become an example for many other organizations and individuals to learn from.
The model has spread widely, wherever there are poor people, they are helped, no one is left behind. Moreover, the example set by cadres and party members not only contributes to strengthening the people's trust in the Party and the government apparatus but also creates consensus and solidarity in society.
Not only in Dak Song, promoting their role, in recent times, the team of cadres and party members in the province have always been at the forefront of emulation movements, joining hands to build new rural areas, with many specific and practical actions. In particular, the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind", cadres and party members have promoted their role of "going first", contributing a significant part to accompany the poor.
Typical movements include: "Each Party cell helps a household escape poverty sustainably"; "The Army joins hands for the poor" (Provincial Military); Adopted children of border guards, Helping children go to school (Provincial Border Guard); agencies and units forming friendships with ethnic minority villages on the spot; July 10 Movement (Dak Glong District People's Procuracy)... Each model has its own way of doing things, is suitable and attracts the participation, consensus and support of all cadres and Party members and brings about clear results.
Similarly, in implementing the New Rural Construction movement, each criterion implemented emphasizes and requires party members to promote their role as role models, to do it first so that people can see and voluntarily follow. In particular, in the process of building public works, cadres, party members and people voluntarily donated land, contributed labor and money to build roads, schools, community cultural houses, etc.
According to comrade Hoang Van Tam, Head of the Propaganda Department of Cu Jut District Party Committee, with the motto "The State and the People work together", in the past 12 years, the whole district has mobilized over 1,100 billion VND in investment capital for new rural construction. People themselves built and renovated houses and residential areas with an estimated cost of 900 million VND; upgraded and renewed 367 km of rural roads, concreted 36 km of drainage canals, 47 km of irrigation canals, eliminated 586 makeshift and dilapidated houses; built 105 village halls, 7 village cultural houses...
“In every task proposed by the village, cadres and party members promote democracy, set an example, and are willing to contribute first, or even more, for the common development. By 2021, the district had 7/7 communes recognized as meeting the standards of “New Rural Commune”. This result, in addition to the efforts of all levels, sectors, and the entire population, has a significant role of cadres and party members”, said comrade Hoang Van Tam.
Protect the Party's ideological foundation
Currently, hostile forces attach special importance to destroying ideology and breaking people's trust in the Party. Therefore, each cadre and party member in the area has raised their responsibility in the Party's fight to protect information and communication technology. Especially participating in social networks, contributing to preventing ideological and theoretical sabotage by hostile forces.
Specifically, the team of cadres and party members has closely followed the situation, grasped the thoughts and public opinions in society, promptly provided official information, oriented public opinion, regularly shared good information, spread good examples of good people and good deeds to "use beauty to eliminate ugliness". Each cadre and party member always upholds the sense of responsibility, promptly explains to the people to understand the true nature of the problem, and recognize the tricks, plots and schemes of hostile forces.
Up to now, 12/12 district, city party committees and party committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee have established and completed the district-level steering committee 35 and the secretariat and expert group to advise on the implementation of Resolution 35; built a propaganda and struggle team on cyberspace at the grassroots level; and formed 50 pages and propaganda groups on social networks.
Along with that, cadres and party members actively participated in the political writing contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints, and the contest for excellent political theory lecturers.
In particular, in the face of increasingly sophisticated and complicated information appearing on social networks, Party committees, authorities, functional agencies, cadres and party members in the province have proactively grasped the situation, analyzed and evaluated; participated in removing and eliminating fake news and toxic information; advised functional agencies to handle individuals providing false information according to regulations.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Dak Mam town (Krong No) shared: Realizing the importance of the Party's work of protecting the environment, cadres and party members from the town to the village and hamlet always actively participate in the fight against wrong and hostile viewpoints. On the pages and groups of the units, positive information, good people, good deeds, good practices, the Party's policies and guidelines, and the State's laws and policies are regularly shared and spread on the pages and groups of the units.
In addition, every cadre and party member must raise awareness in using social networks such as Facebook and Zalo, and not post false information that goes against the views of the Party and the State. The innovation in sharing issues of public concern has contributed to orienting public opinion and spreading positive information.
At the Conference to review the Party's work on protecting information and communications in the first 6 months of 2023, Party Central Committee member and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dieu K'Re requested: "Protecting information and communications of the Party, fighting and refuting wrong and hostile viewpoints is a regular and long-term task, with many new, difficult and unprecedented factors. Therefore, localities and units must be united and encourage the 35 grassroots collaborators to promote the spirit of exemplary Party members, take the lead, overcome difficulties and challenges together, successfully complete the tasks assigned by the Party Committee, and create a stable political environment for socio-economic development".
