Duc Co, the gateway of Gia Lai province bordering Cambodia, is developing vigorously every day, thanks to the decisions of the authorities.

In 2024, with the attention and direction of the Central, Provincial, District Party Committees, the supervision of the District People's Council and the coordination of the Departments, branches and sectors of the province, along with the determination of the entire political system of the district; the response and consensus of all classes of people in the whole district, the People's Committee of Duc Co district has proactively, resolutely managed and well implemented socio-economic development plans, ensuring national defense and security in the area. The district's economy continues to have many positive changes; social security issues are promptly resolved.

Total production value (current price) reached 7,209.6 billion VND, reaching 100.34% of the plan, an increase of 320.6 billion VND compared to 2023. Average income per capita/year reached 47.0 million VND, an increase of 2.0 million VND compared to 2023, exceeding the set plan.

The district has focused on the fields of agriculture, forestry and fisheries, the national target program on new rural construction and civilized urban construction, and achieved many positive results.

The district is interested in directing investment in basic construction, construction management and planning. Currently, the district is promoting the establishment of Duc Co Industrial Cluster. Implementing steps to establish the district planning area. With open policies and many incentives, many enterprises inside and outside the province choose Duc Co as a destination to operate and invest. Transportation, Trade and Service activities are developing rapidly, national highways, provincial roads... are paved with flat and airy asphalt. Many products introduced by Duc Co district (including coffee, cashew nuts, durian, bird's nest...) at border markets in Le Thanh International Border Gate Economic Zone are highly appreciated for their superior quality. Rubber trees and fruit trees also bring high profits, contributing to the economic development of the district.

Activities at Le Thanh International Border Gate Economic Zone are bustling. Up to now, there are 40 investment projects in this Border Gate Economic Zone with a total registered investment capital of 643.87 billion VND. The total import-export turnover at Le Thanh International Border Gate is estimated at 176.641 million USD, of which exports reached 52.754 million USD and imports reached 123.886 million USD.

The urban center in Duc Co district is increasingly bustling.

Tourism is also a highlight of Duc Co district, which has been invested in by the government, shaping eco-tourism and cultural tourism. Tourist attractions in this district include: Ghe village's Banyan tree - Giang Huong forest, Chu Ty - Chu Bo historical victory site - Duc Co martyrs' cemetery - Ho Chi Minh road - Le Thanh international border gate, Ong Dong waterfall - Doi stream... The district has issued plans to develop tourism in a sustainable direction, build tourism products, tourist attractions and link to form tours. In particular, promoting activities, advertising, building brands, images of people, nature, and typical culture of the district.

The fields of Education-Training, Health-Population-Family Planning, Culture-Information; Physical Education-Sports, Social Policy, Administrative Procedure Reform are of interest to the district and are well implemented. The political security situation, social order and safety in the area are stable. Political security, rural security, social order and safety are maintained. With the right policies, the socio-economic development of Duc Co district has accelerated. People's lives are increasingly prosperous, and the border economy is clearly improving.
