(BGDT) - In order to improve digital capacity for children, Bac Giang Provincial Youth Union and Provincial Youth Union Council have implemented many programs and activities to promote digital transformation, enhancing the application of science and technology in early learning and entertainment.
Impressions from the models
With the aim of innovating the content of propaganda and education for teenagers and children and promoting the campaign "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style", in early May, the Standing Committee of the District Youth Union, the District Youth Union and the Lang Giang District Pioneer Council jointly launched the project "Uncle Ho's Virtual Reality Space with Children and Youth". Applying modern technology combined with heroic and enthusiastic music and an inspiring voice, the model gives users the experience of being guided by a tour guide, visiting a real museum.

Just using a smartphone with internet connection, scanning the QR code, viewers have come to a 360-degree multidimensional exhibition space. Here, there is a display room with vivid images and captions introducing the life, life and glorious revolutionary career of the great leader as well as his precious feelings for teenagers and children. With simple navigation operations on the phone screen, viewers can easily move to any desired area and receive information proactively, anytime, anywhere.
Within 1 month, Lang Giang District Youth Union deployed 250 QR code boards placed at village cultural houses, crowded public entertainment spots and school library areas in the area for the convenience of students and residents. At the same time, the District Youth Union and District Youth Union coordinated with the school teams and unions to propagate and share with parents on Zalo and Facebook groups of the class.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nuoc, a parent of a student in Voi town (Lang Giang) said: “Every day, I let my child play with the phone for 15-20 minutes. I find this model interesting, creative, and useful for children to have more access channels, avoiding bad and harmful information on the internet. Through that, it helps children understand more about the love that Uncle Ho has for teenagers and children, and arouses awareness and responsibility to build and protect the Fatherland from an early age for children.”
In order to promote the pioneering role for the community, take the lead in digital transformation, and improve reading culture for children and people, since the beginning of the year, Hiep Hoa District Youth Union has installed 128 community digital libraries at the People's Committees of communes and towns; village cultural houses and schools. The bookcases are divided into many different categories such as: Vietnamese literature, culture and arts, history, science and technology, law... to help readers choose easily. Reading e-books can be done at any time, without time or space limitations. In the coming time, the District Youth Union will add about 300 more books in various fields and replicate the model to schools, bus stations, and parks.
Variety of activities
In order to effectively implement the contents of the Project "Improving digital capacity for youth; promoting the core and leading role of the Youth Union at all levels in digital transformation in the period of 2022-2025 in Bac Giang province", the Youth Union at all levels has been very creative in implementing activities and competitions related to the fields of science, information technology, and foreign languages. Playgrounds such as "STEM Festival", "I love science - Young technology talents" are held annually, receiving the attention and response of a large number of students, parents and teachers.

Notably, in 2022, the programming contest "Creating with Code Kitten" launched by the Provincial Youth Union in collaboration with the Department of Education and Training, Teky Holdings Technology and Youth Creativity Joint Stock Company attracted more than 4,000 entries from nearly 11,000 contestants from 10 districts and cities. According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, most of the programming products have creative, rich, and innocent content for children.
In the face of global integration, the Youth Union, Association, and Young Pioneers at all levels pay special attention to improving foreign language skills for children. In order to help students be brave and confident in international integration, the Provincial Young Pioneers Council has maintained foreign language clubs; organized many playgrounds for exchange, learning about foreign cultures, English Olympic competitions; responded to the program "Vietnamese Children Reaching Out to the World" launched by the Central Young Pioneers Council. At the same time, it has connected with prestigious English and Chinese centers to call for and mobilize scholarships for students in difficult circumstances so that all children have the opportunity to participate in a foreign language training environment from a young age.
According to comrade Giap Xuan Canh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union Council, union members and young people are the core force in accessing and transferring science and technology, taking the lead in implementing digital transformation. Bac Giang children will be the next generation, enjoying the achievements that digital transformation brings, becoming digital citizens, directly living and working in the digital government, digital economy and digital society.

(BGDT) - In the first two months of 2022, the amount of fees and charges paid online in Bac Giang reached nearly 11 billion VND, many times higher than the whole year of 2021. To achieve this result, departments, branches, and district-level People's Committees have stepped up propaganda, helping people form the habit of using online public services when they need to resolve administrative procedures.
