The Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting road project will start construction at the end of 2022, with a total investment of more than 4,800 billion VND. The main road is more than 4km long, 25 - 48m wide with 6 lanes, connecting two more branches of road 18E and C2 with 3 - 4 lanes wide.

In addition to the overpass in front of Tan Son Nhat Airport's T3 terminal, the project also includes two underpasses at major intersections: Tran Quoc Hoan - Phan Thuc Duyen and Truong Chinh - Tan Ky Tan Quy.

Expected to be put into operation at the end of 2024, but difficulties in site clearance have caused the project to be delayed.

The 4-lane overpass in front of Terminal T3 has been completed. Currently, the remaining part of the route connecting Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa (from Hoang Hoa Tham Street to Truong Chinh Street) is under construction due to land clearance problems.

Talking to VietNamNet reporter, Mr. Le Huu Tuan - Deputy Head of Compensation and Site Clearance Board of Tan Binh District (HCMC) said that up to now, the land clearance problems have been resolved.

"Today, the last house in the alley of Tran Van Du street will be completely demolished and handed over to the investor," Mr. Tuan informed.

Meanwhile, Mr. Luong Minh Phuc - Director of the HCM City Traffic Works Management Board (Investor) confirmed that after receiving the site from Binh Tan district, contractors will speed up the construction progress to open the entire route to traffic before the April 30 holiday.

In addition to speeding up the construction progress of the Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting road, the investor is currently requesting the Tan Binh District People's Committee to urgently complete the A41 canal renovation project. This is an important project to help connect the project's drainage system, ensuring the drainage capacity for the Tan Son Nhat airport area and T3 terminal, avoiding flooding.
