On the morning of March 27, comrade Quan Minh Cuong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation attended the program to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the traditional day of the Sports and Physical Training sector (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2025); met and honored outstanding athletes and coaches in 2025. Also attending were comrade Hoang Xuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrade Be Thanh Tinh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; comrade Ha Nhat Le, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrade Trinh Truong Huy, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches, sectors and mass organizations of the province.

Over the past 79 years, along with the growth of the national sports and physical training sector, the Cao Bang Sports and Physical Training sector has made many positive contributions to the cause of national construction and defense, contributing to the successful implementation of the province's socio-economic development tasks. The sports and physical training movement of Cao Bang province has developed extensively from the provincial to grassroots levels. Up to now, the proportion of people who regularly exercise and play sports has reached 30.5%, and the number of sports families has reached 20.5%.

In 2024, the province successfully hosted a number of national high-performance sports tournaments such as: National Table Tennis Tournament for Excellent Rackets; National Pencak Silat Club Championship; National Sports Dance Championship and National Sports Dance Cup; National Youth Jujitsu Championship... Cao Bang province's fan groups participated in national and international competitions and won 258 medals of all kinds, with 37 athletes reaching national level. Notably, there were athletes who made their mark and achieved high results at regional and world competitions. Most recently, the province's Juitsu athlete group participated in the 2025 Asian Youth Jujitsu Championship in Thailand, Cao Bang province's athletes excellently won 13 medals of all kinds, with 6 athletes meeting the standards for national master level, making an important contribution to the development of high-performance sports in Vietnam.

Speaking at the program, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Quan Minh Cuong commended, acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the sports sector, coaches and athletes in recent years. He affirmed that outstanding athletes and coaches with high achievements are shining examples, typical examples of will, determination and health training to expand and launch the sports movement in the province. To promote the achievements, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested all levels and sectors to pay attention to seriously and effectively implementing the contents and tasks according to Conclusion No. 70-KL/TW dated January 31, 2024 of the Politburo on sports development in the new period, in accordance with the practical conditions of the province.

The provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism needs to improve the quality and effectiveness of state management of sports development; encourage the development of mass sports, create opportunities for all people to participate in training, performing and competing activities to improve health, prevent diseases, treat diseases, have fun and entertain. Localities and units must ensure human resources at state management agencies and sports units at all levels; increase investment and ensure funding for organizing regular sports and physical activities at each level of government, each agency and unit. Gradually invest in physical facilities and cultural and sports institutions to meet the training needs of the people. Coaches and athletes need to continue to promote their achievements, strive to overcome difficulties in training and competing, achieve many high achievements, and contribute to the development of high-performance sports in the province and the country.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trinh Truong Huy awarded Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee to outstanding athletes.

On this occasion, 3 athletes received certificates of merit from the Ministry of Education and Training; 17 pairs of athletes and 67 individuals received certificates of merit from the Provincial People's Committee; 1 athlete received a certificate of merit from the Provincial Youth Union.
