Previously, at around 4:25 p.m. on January 4, the maxillofacial and ophthalmic department of Hai Phong Children's Hospital received a case of a fish hook stuck in the left eyelid while fishing.
After examination, the ophthalmologist determined that this was a rather complicated case of foreign body, the hook was at risk of piercing the eyeball if not treated and removed promptly.
Ophthalmologists and their team quickly performed anesthesia to safely remove the foreign object from the patient's eyelid without causing damage to other areas of the eyeball.
After intervention and treatment at the maxillofacial - ophthalmology department (Hai Phong Children's Hospital), the patient's left eyelid was stable and he was discharged from the hospital.
