On February 4, news from the An Giang Provincial Police Investigation Security Agency said that the unit has just issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and temporarily detain Tran Van Khanh (62 years old, residing in Ward 5, Ca Mau City, Ca Mau), to investigate the act of disseminating and propagating information and documents aimed at opposing the Party and the State.

According to the initial investigation results, since 2021, Khanh has used his Facebook account to make friends with many social media accounts at home and abroad to comment, share, and disseminate many documents with reactionary content, defaming the Party, the State, the government system at all levels, and cadres and Party members. At the same time, Khanh also distorted history, incited, caused division, and disunity among religions and ethnic groups... with the aim of opposing the Party and the State; and changing the regime in Vietnam.

After collecting and consolidating relevant evidence, the Investigation Security Agency of An Giang Provincial Police prosecuted and temporarily detained Khanh.

The above-mentioned propaganda case aimed at sabotaging the Party and State is being further investigated and handled by An Giang Provincial Police according to the provisions of law.
