(Dan Tri) - Lamine Yamal returned on the 125th anniversary of the club's founding, but Barcelona still lost 1-2 to Las Palmas at home at Olimpic Lluis Companys in round 15 of La Liga on the evening of November 30.
A 2-2 draw against Celta Vigo in the previous round left Barcelona trailing Real Madrid in the La Liga standings. Coach Hansi Flick's team must beat Las Palmas at home in round 15 if they want to break away from the top of the table.
Barcelona fielded an attacking lineup with strikers Raphinha, Lewandowski, Torre and Fermin Lopez, Pedri playing in midfield. Right after the opening whistle, the home team increased the speed in search of a goal.

The Catalan club created many chances in the first half but Lopez, Torre, Raphinha and Lewandowski could not take advantage of them. Fermin Lopez had a chance to open the scoring when facing goalkeeper Cillessen in the 23rd minute, but he finished too weakly.
At the end of the first half, Raphinha had a powerful shot but the ball hit the crossbar of Las Palmas' goal. The away team defended firmly and kept the score at 0-0 after the first 45 minutes.
The second half had just started for 4 minutes, Las Palmas had a fast counter-attack with quick and accurate passes. Sandro Ramirez dribbled comfortably on the right wing and accurately shot into the far corner to beat Inaki Pena, opening the score 1-0 for Las Palmas.
The presence of Lamine Yamal made Barcelona's play faster in the second half. In the 61st minute, Raphinha handled the ball skillfully before unleashing a tricky low shot into the far corner, equalizing 1-1 for Barcelona.
However, Las Palmas regained the lead when Barcelona's defense lost focus. In the 67th minute, from a long pass from his teammate, Fabio Silva ran down to receive the ball and accurately finished past Pena, bringing the score to 2-1 for Las Palmas.
In the remaining minutes, Barca tried to attack Las Palmas' goal but they could not find an equalizer. In the end, Barcelona suffered a bitter 1-2 defeat to Las Palmas on the club's 125th anniversary. In the last 3 matches in La Liga, the Catalan club lost 2 matches and drew 1 match.
Barcelona is still leading La Liga with 34 points after 15 matches, 4 points more than Real Madrid. However, Real Madrid has played two fewer matches and has a great chance to take the top spot from Barcelona.
