That is one of the instructions of the Minister of Industry and Trade to the units under this ministry to ensure the supply of gasoline in the coming time.
Specifically, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien has just signed and issued a Directive to implement Official Dispatch No. 1437/CD-TTg of the Prime Minister on focusing on implementing solutions to ensure adequate supply of gasoline for production, business and consumption of people and businesses.
In the directive, the Minister of Industry and Trade requested the Domestic Market Department to closely monitor the implementation of the minimum total petroleum source in 2024 by petroleum traders.
In addition, regularly inspect, urge, guide, and promptly adjust the allocation of total petroleum resources in accordance with the market situation and production, business, and consumption requirements of people and enterprises to ensure proactiveness, absolutely no shortage or interruption of petroleum supply in any situation, and to meet the needs of the economy and social consumption.
At the same time, direct petroleum traders, enterprises, and petroleum retail stores nationwide to have scientific, reasonable, and feasible plans and solutions for petroleum business and retail, ensuring sufficient supply of goods to meet market demands; arrange sufficient human resources, organize on-call duty or overtime to maintain regular and continuous sales activities for the market, especially before, during, and after the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin in 2024.
Along with that, closely coordinate with relevant units of the Ministry of Finance to announce and manage gasoline prices closely following the developments in world gasoline prices, in accordance with domestic gasoline supply and demand developments and in accordance with legal regulations, market signals and ensure the harmony of interests between the State, enterprises and people, contributing to promoting economic growth, maintaining macroeconomic stability, controlling inflation, and ensuring major balances of the economy.
The Minister of Industry and Trade also assigned the General Department of Market Management to strengthen inspection, supervision and promptly and strictly handle violations in the petroleum business.
Along with that, direct the market management departments of provinces and cities to deploy professional measures, develop plans and strategies, and conduct regular and surprise inspections of law compliance in petroleum business activities of enterprises.
At the same time, strictly handle acts of hoarding goods to wait for price increases, profiteering from smuggling gasoline across the border, and violating regulations on gasoline trading. Coordinate with tax authorities to inspect, monitor, and handle violations of the law on electronic invoices for each sale of business units according to the provisions of law.
The Minister of Industry and Trade also requested the Inspectorate of the Ministry to advise on the development, revision and implementation of the annual inspection and examination plan of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, including strengthening the inspection and examination of compliance with legal regulations in petroleum trading activities for petroleum traders nationwide to promptly detect and strictly handle violations according to regulations.
For key petroleum traders, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requires strict and full implementation of the total minimum petroleum source for 2024 that has been allocated to ensure continuous supply of petroleum to customers.
In addition, it is necessary to proactively source goods, reserve gasoline according to regulations, ensure adequate supply of gasoline for the domestic market in all situations; absolutely do not interrupt the supply of gasoline in the business system.
