Before being put into the steamer, the banh tet cakes go through many stages that require the meticulousness and dexterity of the hands of mothers and grandmothers.

The cook needs to prepare ingredients such as sticky rice, green beans, pork belly, salt, ground pepper... At the same time, banana leaves and bamboo strips for wrapping also need to be cleaned.
