The attraction of this time marks the spread of Vietnamese bread in the international market, continuing to affirm the position of Vietnamese bread on the global culinary map. From here, it opens up a great opportunity to develop culinary tourism associated with bread.
A month before the 3rd Vietnam Bread Festival took place, at a press conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Khanh - President of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association - informed that many foreign businesses would attend and that American partners wanted to approach and deploy Vietnamese bread in the US. If there is enough strength, it is expected that in September, the bread festival will be held in the land of the stars and stripes.
Entering the bread festival, which was packed with people from early morning until evening, it was not surprising to see many international visitors happily lining up to wait for their turn to hold a Vietnamese bread in their hands... while being surrounded by a sea of "foreign" bread such as baguettes, sandwiches, burgers...
Looking back over the past 50 years, banh mi is also a cultural feature that Vietnamese people share with international friends.
From the crispiness of the bread crust, the richness of the butter sauce, the aroma of the meat, the crunchiness of the pickles, the spiciness of the chili and the sweetness of the vegetables... bread has followed the Vietnamese people to many countries and become a symbol of Vietnamese cuisine.
Nowadays, Vietnamese bread is present and loved in America, England, France, China, Korea, Singapore, Japan...
Therefore, it is no coincidence that in 2024, the culinary website Taste Atlas honored Vietnamese bread as number 1 in the ranking of the 100 best sandwiches in the world.
Bread festivals like this have left their mark, spread and shortened the distance between Vietnamese bread and international friends. But to have a solid foundation for Vietnamese bread on the global culinary map, many solutions have been proposed for Vietnamese bread.
First of all, in the context of globalization and integration trends, Vietnamese bread also needs more in-depth research on the development journey of bread, to have innovations and if necessary, Vietnamese bread also "modernizes" in the era of globalization.
In addition, it is necessary to have more solutions to promote the value of Vietnamese bread such as bringing bread to overseas Vietnamese and international tourists through tourism and culinary programs on international media.

Only when all these solutions are effectively implemented, will the Vietnamese bread brand reach the world, meet the enjoyment needs of tourists, and effectively contribute to the development of Vietnam's tourism industry.
