On the occasion of the Year of the Dragon, singer Bang Kieu welcomed the New Year in Vietnam with his youngest child and family. "In the US, my brothers are all grown up, and I have many shows in Vietnam for Tet, so I will come over on the 5th to see my children," said singer Bang Kieu. He also began to open up more about the new members of his family.

Bang Kieu said that in 2022, when the family has a fourth child, he cannot reveal his girlfriend and new baby, because she does not want many people to know.
"She is quite a private person, doing a normal job. But now seeing the audience love and care for her, I must be lucky and happy because so many people care, so I feel normal and open. Currently, my girlfriend is used to things she didn't have before, like being recognized on the street and being loved by more people. Even though I don't intentionally show off, I still share things in life normally," Bang Kieu said.
Mai Linh is more used to people knowing she is Bang Kieu's girlfriend.
Regarding daily life, the singer of many love songs shared: "I would use the word "enough" to describe my current life. For me, if I know enough, I will feel comfortable and not have any pressure in life. In the family, I can do many things, rarely get scolded by my wife, I can almost do taking care of the children or cooking."
Celebrating Tet in Hanoi is an important part of Bang Kieu's memories and experiences. About the most memorable Tet for him, Bang Kieu said: "Perhaps the Tet holidays in his childhood are the most memorable, before Tet, he was able to return to his hometown with his extended family. When my grandmother and father were still alive, the whole family always returned to their hometown to celebrate Tet together. Those are the most profound memories for me."

Bang Kieu also shared about his journey to becoming a "lover" when writing love songs. "Actually, when I wrote music in the past, I didn't confess to my girlfriend, I just wrote about my feelings at that time. Love is always the same, no matter what age, the passion is still there. Of course, the love of the experienced person is a little different, it is quiet but I think it is more subtle," the male singer recalled.

Bang Kieu also said that his experience as a "lover" singing love songs is much more extensive than his position as a love song writer. With the program Lover 4: Bang Kieu - Long Sunlight organized by IB Group at the National Convention Center (Hanoi) on March 8, he will sing with familiar music "lovers" such as Le Quyen, Minh Tuyet, Lam Anh. These are singers that Bang Kieu considers strong and feminine in different ways.
Also with this program, Bang Kieu will collaborate with singers Nguyen Hung and Luong Tung Quang for the first time on the capital's stage. "Luckily, we have worked together for many years, so the music director and I will research and bring the best of Hung and Luong Tung Quang to the Hanoi audience," Bang Kieu revealed.
Having been involved with the Hanoi music scene since the early days of his career, Bang Kieu said: "I am very familiar with the Hanoi audience, and I do not want to lose that familiarity. Besides, the shows I have done so far, each concert has a different story, content, and portrait, and this time is no exception. This time, I have a number of collaborators and special guests, so I feel that the show will be very new."
