Bac Ha in the season of ripe Tam Hoa plums

Bac Ha District, Lao Cai Province is called the “White Plateau” because when Tam Hoa plum blossoms bloom, this place is filled with white. At this time, Tam Hoa plums are ripe, attracting buyers, sellers and tourists from all over to Bac Ha to visit, experience and enjoy the famous crispy and sweet Tam Hoa plums here.

Bac Ha district is the Tam Hoa plum capital of Lao Cai province and the Northwest region, with more than 500 hectares, of which about 350 hectares are in stable harvest, with an output of more than 3,000 tons of fruit/year, with a selling price.

Around the beginning of June, when Tam Hoa plums are ripe, Bac Ha district organizes a festival with the theme "White Plateau Festival", focusing on the traditional horse racing, attracting tens of thousands of tourists, contributing to the consumption of local Tam Hoa plums.

This year's plum crop, the whole district harvested more than 3,000 tons of fruit, with an average selling price of 30,000 VND/kg, bringing tens of billions of VND to the people, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction for the Mong, Dao, Tay, Nung ethnic groups... here.
