Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh is Head of the Steering Committee (SC).

Deputy Head of the Committee is Minister of Justice Nguyen Hai Ninh.

Functions and tasks of the Steering Committee

According to the Decision, the Steering Committee is an inter-sectoral coordination organization, assisting the Prime Minister in researching, directing, and coordinating the resolution of important, inter-sectoral tasks regarding the organization of execution of judgments and the recovery of misappropriated and lost assets in cases related to Van Thinh Phat Group.

The Steering Committee is responsible for researching, consulting, recommending, and proposing directions and solutions to resolve important, interdisciplinary issues regarding the organization of execution of judgments and the recovery of misappropriated and lost assets in cases related to Van Thinh Phat Group.

Direct and coordinate between ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies and relevant agencies and organizations in resolving important, inter-sectoral issues in the execution of judgments.

The Ministry of Justice is the standing agency of the Steering Committee, using the existing apparatus to help the Steering Committee perform its tasks.

Principles and working regime of the Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is responsible to the Prime Minister for the implementation of the tasks specified in this Decision. The Head of the Steering Committee shall promulgate the Working Regulations of the Steering Committee.

Steering Committee members work part-time and are responsible for assigned tasks. They are allowed to use the existing staff of the agency or unit to assist the Steering Committee members.

The Head of the Steering Committee may use the seal of the Prime Minister; the Deputy Head may use the seal of his agency to perform his duties and direct the activities of the Steering Committee; the members of the Steering Committee may use the seal of their agency to perform their duties.
