Execution of temporary detention warrant for defendant Nguyen Thi Tha
The defendants who were prosecuted and temporarily detained include: Luu Duc Luom (born in 2000); Thai Duy Phuong (born in 1983); Huynh Truong Thanh (born in 1984); Lam Van Chau (born in 1981, both residing in Chau Doc City); Nguyen Thi Thuy (born in 1969); Nguyen Thi Tha (born in 1974); Nguyen Thi Be Chinh (born in 1987) and Le Thi Tien (born in 1970, both residing in Phu Tan District).

Previously, on September 6, 2024, the Office of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency coordinated with professional departments, Chau Phu District Police and Chau Doc City Police to deploy forces to catch 3 couples of men and women in the act of prostitution at Dong Xanh Hotel (Hoa Binh Hamlet, Vinh My Ward, Chau Doc City) and seized many related exhibits.
From the statements and documents collected during the investigation and verification, the police agency conducted an emergency search of the residences of Nguyen Thi Xuyen; Phan Thi Cam Hung (Xuyen's daughter-in-law) and Ngo Thi My Hanh (both residing in My Phu commune, Chau Phu district), seizing over 464 million VND, 05 motorbikes, many condoms, contraceptives and related documents. At the same time, it was discovered that at the residence of Xuyen and Hung, there were 13 prostitutes with ages ranging from 13 to 22 years old. During the investigation, it was determined that the prostitution ring was led by Xuyen and Hung, mother and daughter.

The police invited the prostitutes to the headquarters to investigate and clarify the case.
Regarding this case, up to now, the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police has decided to prosecute 25 subjects. Currently, the case is being further investigated by the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of the Provincial Police.
