900 athletes participate in the Phu Dong Sports Festival of Cam Lo district in 2024

This morning, February 28, Cam Lo district organized the 13th Phu Dong Sports Festival in 2024.

The 13th Cam Lo District Phu Dong Sports Festival had nearly 900 athletes from primary and secondary schools in the whole district participating, competing in 13 sports with 82 events. This is a large-scale school sports movement, aiming to develop physical fitness, improve physical strength, contribute to perfecting personality, and realize the goal of comprehensive education for students.

At the same time, to evaluate the results of physical education and sports activities in schools; create conditions for teachers and students to exchange, learn, and share experiences, strengthen solidarity; create motivation for the sports movement in schools to develop more and more, contributing to building friendly schools and active students.

Phu Dong Sports Festival is also an opportunity to discover, train and foster local sports talents as well as select athletes to compete in upcoming provincial Phu Dong Sports Festival events.

As a result, the organizing committee recognized and awarded 538 medals to individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in all sports and competitions. Of which, there were 150 gold medals, 142 silver medals and 246 bronze medals; awarded 3 first prizes, 3 second prizes and 6 third prizes for team competitions and awarded 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes and 2 third prizes for the whole delegation.
