9 communes of Phuc Tho district will soon have clean water

TPO - It is expected that the project to build a water supply network for 9 communes in Phuc Tho district will be completed in May 2025. When the project comes into operation, 100% of households in Phuc Tho district will have access to clean water from a centralized source.

On June 11, the People's Committee of Phuc Tho district coordinated with relevant units to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the project to build a water supply network for 9 communes in the area.

According to the People's Committee of Phuc Tho district, 12/21 communes and towns in the district are currently connected to clean water from the centralized water supply system. There are currently 9 communes that do not have access to clean water from the centralized source. These include: Xuan Dinh, Van Phuc, Van Ha, Van Nam, Long Xuyen, Thuong Coc, Hat Mon, Tam Thuan, Thanh Da.

In order for 100% of households to have access to centralized clean water, Phuc Tho district has recently directed units supplying water to 12 communes and towns to strengthen the connection and installation work for households to use. In addition, the district proposed the Hanoi People's Committee to invite businesses to participate in investing in water supply for the locality. The joint venture of Ba Vi Water Supply and Environment Construction Investment Joint Stock Company - Ao Vua Joint Stock Company supplies clean water to the remaining 9 communes of the district.

After nearly 2 years of research, survey and project planning, all design documents have been approved by competent authorities and the project is eligible to start construction.

According to the People's Committee of Phuc Tho district, the water supply project for 9 communes is identified by the district as a key project.

Therefore, the district requires the investor consortium to focus resources, strive to complete and be able to supply water to people before May 2025.

When the project comes into operation, it will help people in 9 communes in the district to have access to clean water, achieving the goal of 100% of the population in the district using clean water from a centralized source. At the same time, it will contribute to meeting the criteria for building an advanced new rural commune and a model new rural commune in the district.
