Lake (T'Nung Lake)

Known as the “eyes of Pleiku”, Bien Ho is a freshwater lake located in the northwest of Pleiku city, about 7 km from the city center along Highway 14. The reason this place is called Bien Ho is because every time there is a strong wind, the waves on the lake surface ripple like ocean waves.

Bien Ho is considered one of the most naturally beautiful and poetic lakes in the Central Highlands. On a beautiful day, from afar, Bien Ho fascinates visitors with its vast blue sea water and the sound of pine trees rustling in the wind.

In addition, Bien Ho is also a large fish farm of the Central Highlands, including all kinds of freshwater fish such as carp, grass carp, bighead carp, rock fish, bream, seahorse, etc. At the same time, it is an important freshwater lake that supplies water to Pleiku city.

Minh Thanh Pagoda

As the pagoda with the most unique architecture in the Central Highlands, Minh Thanh is not only the pride of the people of the mountain town but also an attractive tourist destination of Pleiku. In particular, unlike other pagodas with the characteristics of Theravada Buddhism, Minh Thanh Pagoda is heavily influenced by Chinese and Japanese architecture.

The pagoda was built in 1964 by Venerable Thich Giac Dao and became a place of worship and incense offering for Buddhists in the area. Through the upheavals of history, Minh Thanh Pagoda has undergone many restorations and continues to open its doors to welcome more visitors.

Great Unity Square

Known as the heart of Pleiku, Dai Doan Ket Square is located in the city center, near Highway 14, and is one of the key projects of Pleiku city. The square is 12 hectares wide, highlighted by the statue of President Ho Chi Minh leaning against Ham Rong - simulating the highest peak of the Pleiku plateau. Behind the statue is a bas-relief carved on white stone, recreating the scenery and life of the people of the Central Highlands. In front of the monument are square lawns like Ba Dinh Square.

Pleiku Prison

A unique attraction for tourists when visiting Pleiku, Pleiku prison used to be a place to detain political prisoners under the French and American regimes (before 1975) with many forms of torture and brutality. After 1975, the local government invested in renovating some items and preserving the prison as a place to educate the younger generation about history.

Tea Lake

Located on the North bank of Bien Ho Lake, called Bien Ho Tea Lake because it is a combination of an irrigation lake and vast tea fields. The tea hills here are only about 13 km from Pleiku city, located in Chu Pah district. This is also the first tea plantation of the French in Gia Lai, formed in the 20s of the last century.

Chu Dang Ya Volcano

Chu Dang Ya volcano is located about 30 km northeast of the center of Gia Lai mountain town, in Ploi Lagri village, Chu Dang Ya commune, Chu Pah district, hidden in the middle of the green, majestic forest. Each season, Chu Dang Ya attracts visitors with its own unique features: in the rainy season, Chu Dang Ya is covered by the immense green of sweet potato, taro or arrowroot fields, and in the dry season, tens of thousands of wild sunflowers bloom all over the mountainside, attracting visitors from everywhere.

Yaly Hydropower

Located in the middle of the majestic Central Highlands mountains, the Yaly Hydropower Plant is located on the Se San River, in Ialy Commune, Chu Pah District, Gia Lai Province, a modern and massive system of works, both open-air and hidden in the mountains. The road from National Highway 14 to the plant is paved with black asphalt, flat, located between densely populated residential areas, green rubber forests, rows of ancient villas, beautiful as paintings. Currently, this place is still an interesting tourist destination, visitors have the opportunity to visit the hydropower plant, stop by the Gia Rai ethnic village, take a boat up the Se San River to see the mountains and enjoy the atmosphere of the Central Highlands mountains and forests.

Phu Cuong Waterfall

Located in Dun commune, Chu Se district, Gia Lai province, about 3 km from Chu Se town and about 45 km southeast of Pleiku city, Phu Cuong waterfall attracts tourists thanks to its wild, charming and majestic beauty. Coming here in the rainy season, you will admire the poetic beauty of the waterfall like a soft silk strip across the Central Highlands mountains and forests, and in the dry season you will be able to ride an elephant to explore the mountains and forests or bathe in La Peet stream.
