5G Day 2024 will be an in-depth 5G conference event in Vietnam aimed at expanding the diverse 5G service platform/ecosystem. Speakers and new technology products from nearly 50 major domestic and international brands will appear at Viettel 5G Day

Within the framework of 5G Day, 50 booths from major domestic and international technology enterprises will display the latest 5G, AI, Cloud, and IoT technology solutions and products on the market.

At the event, Viettel Telecom and its member units of the Military Industry and Telecommunications Group will introduce their service solutions through 8 main product groups including: 5G solutions and infrastructure for businesses and society (5G B2B, Cloud, 5G SA/Network Slicing) and 5G groups for individuals and families (AI, augmented reality, interactive television, smart home, smartphone...).

The organizers expect that 5G Day 2024 will help guests have an overview of the 5G ecosystem and seek business opportunities from this service after 5G is officially commercialized in Vietnam.

4 million Viettel customers have used 5G

On October 15, 2024, Viettel launched the first and largest 5G network in Vietnam with more than 6,500 broadcasting stations with outdoor coverage of over 90% of the capital areas of 63 provinces and cities, industrial parks, schools, airports, seaports, etc.

Viettel's 5G network quickly reached the milestone of 3 million users just 2 weeks after its launch and to date, 70% of subscribers in Viettel's 5G coverage area have used 5G (equivalent to 4 million customers), internet traffic on 5G has accounted for 30% in the deployment area, showing the attraction and potential of 5G in Vietnam is huge.

Viettel's 5G network speed can reach 700Mbps-1Gb, 10 times faster than 4G, and the latency is almost zero, deployed simultaneously on both 5G NSA (non stand alone) and 5G SA (stand alone) architecture platforms. Viettel's official provision of 5G services is considered a boost for other network operators to participate in the commercialization process more strongly, promoting the goal of national digital transformation, providing a platform for businesses and organizations to apply digital technology; while helping to improve the quality of life of users.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Tinh - Deputy General Director of Viettel Telecom said that this network is continuing to expand 5G coverage to meet the needs of improving customer service experience to district centers in 2025 and the 5G Day event is identified as one of the steps in Viettel's 5G popularization strategy.
