After storm No. 3 Yagi, Hanoi city had tens of thousands of trees broken, obstructing traffic and ruining the urban beauty. Although the authorities and people... made great efforts to clean up, there were still many temporary gathering places for tree branches and trunks on the sidewalks, affecting traffic.
A representative of the Ministry of Public Security said that, implementing the direction of the ministry's leaders, on the evening of September 14, the People's Public Security Youth Union launched and organized 500 youth union members of the Guard Command (K01), the Mobile Police Command (K02) and the Hanoi City Police to clean up and beautify the streets in the area, soon returning the capital to its "green - clean - beautiful" state as before.
According to a representative of the Ministry of Public Security, the forces participating in the general cleanup are determined to complete the work on the night of September 14 and 15, ensuring that all inner-city streets are cleared, helping people return to normal life soon.
A representative of the Mobile Police Command said that the unit has increased 300 officers and soldiers from 5 units to perform tasks in Ba Dinh district. The mobilized force will work quickly and effectively, even if they have to work through the night.
In addition to 300 soldiers supporting this general cleanup, the Mobile Police Command also mobilized thousands of soldiers to areas affected by the storm and post-storm circulation, to help localities and people overcome the consequences and soon stabilize their lives.
A representative of Hanoi City Police also informed that Ba Dinh and Hai Ba Trung District Police mobilized forces to coordinate with two units of the Ministry of Public Security to clean up the streets.
Over the past week, the Ba Dinh District People's Committee has mobilized more than 1,000 people and more than 40 vehicles to cut down and clear up fallen trees. Although the situation has improved, there is still much work to be done to soon return the city to a clean and tidy state.
On the same morning, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai and leaders of Hanoi City together with people took to the streets to clean up the environment and overcome the consequences of storm Yagi.
