5 8th grade students in Phu Tho missing while bathing in the river

On the evening of November 18, the leader of the People's Committee of Hien Quan commune (Tam Nong district, Phu Tho) said that 5 8th grade students in the area went missing while bathing in the river.

According to the leader of Hien Quan commune, at around 4 pm on the same day, a group of 8th grade students from Hien Quan Secondary School invited each other to go to the river in Zone 1 of the commune to play. After that, 6 students went to the river to bathe, 5 children were swept away by the water and went missing.

"Today the children had a day off from school so they went to the river to play and the incident happened," he added.

The identities of the missing victims were identified as: L.AD., HTD, TMD, BKLA, HTTL, NQH

Authorities in Phu Tho province, Tam Nong district and Hien Quan commune are still searching for the victims.

Recently, on the afternoon of November 15, a tragic drowning incident occurred in Tuy An district, Phu Yen province. Specifically, 4 students of class 10A5, Le Thanh Phuong High School (An My commune, Tuy An district) were swimming at Nhon Hoi village beach.

At around 5pm, Le Binh Quoc Viet (born in 2009, resident of Phu Phong village, An Hiep commune) was swept away by waves and drowned. Upon discovering the incident, the remaining 3 students immediately went ashore to call for help.

However, when the adults arrived, Viet had been swept away by the water and was missing. After the incident, Tuy An district authorities, along with functional forces and a large number of people, were mobilized to the area where the missing boy went missing to search.
