Travel bloggers suggest 5 domestic and international itineraries that tourists can easily travel during Tet at a reasonable cost.
Based on experience, bloggers suggest easy-to-travel Tet itineraries that are not too expensive and do not require a visa for foreign travel.
Buon Ma Thuot
Blogger Vinh Gau chose Buon Ma Thuot because it is easy to travel to with an airport near the city center, with flights from major cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang. Tourists in the southern region can also choose to take a bus to save costs.
The weather in Buon Ma Thuot is cool and the pace of life is not as crowded as in Da Lat. In addition, visitors here have a variety of choices from homestays to 5-star hotels. Food prices are cheap and Vinh Gau has not encountered any "rip-offs" when traveling here. Delicious dishes include red vermicelli, crab vermicelli, vermicelli with chili, grilled pork rolls, banh khot, and cold banh duc.

Hoi An
Vlogger Phan Thanh Quoc (Ke Du Muc) said he has been to Hoi An more than 10 times and loves this place. Quoc also stayed in Hoi An for two weeks during Tet because he wanted to slowly feel the peaceful atmosphere of the ancient town.
"Whether it's morning or night, Hoi An has its own beauty," he said.
On the first day, Quoc suggests visitors spend time enjoying the old town and local cuisine. He especially likes chicken rice, Quang noodles and Cao Lau, Hoi An's specialties, which cost around VND30,000-40,000 per portion.

The next day, visitors should spend time exploring the Bay Mau coconut forest for 85,000 VND per person. Quoc said he likes the experience of sitting on a small basket boat, walking in the middle of the forest, immersing himself in nature. In the evening, Quoc took a boat on the Hoai River to Hoi An Memory Island and released flower lanterns.
According to him, tourists with limited time can spend at least two nights enjoying Hoi An. Those with more time can slowly enjoy Hoi An in their own way. The weather in Hoi An this season is beautiful, transportation is convenient, suitable for both young people traveling alone and with families.
Singapore
Vinh Gau hesitated between Laos and Singapore, but he felt that Singapore would be more vibrant and suitable for the Tet atmosphere. His suggested itinerary would last 3 days and 2 nights, with costs including airfare (about 5.5 million VND round trip per person); accommodation (about 3.5 million VND per night for two people); food (about 1.2 million VND per person per day); sightseeing and transportation (about 5 million VND for two people).
Specific schedule:
- Day 1: Explore downtown Singapore with places including Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands, shopping on Orchard Road.
- Day 2: Have fun at Universal Studios Singapore and SEA Aquarium Sentosa.
- Day 3: Explore Chinatown, Little India, experience the ArtScience Museum and then return to Vietnam.

In terms of food, this blogger recommends trying chilli crab, frog porridge in Geylang, Boon Tong Kee Hainanese chicken rice, Ya Kun Kaya Toast Singaporean breakfast set, and Bak Kut Teh tea rib soup.
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Travel blogger Phan Thanh Quoc suggests another suitable place to relax and have fun during Tet that is easy to get to: Kuala Lumpur, a city he has visited more than 10 times.
Round-trip airfare from Ho Chi Minh City to Kuala Lumpur is about 2.5 million VND per person. Quoc thinks this price is reasonable and Kuala Lumpur will be an interesting destination during Tet.
On the first day, Quoc suggests just visiting the downtown area, don't rush to go far because first impressions are always important. Merdeka Square, the flea market and the surrounding architecture are all beautiful and free. After that, visitors visit China Town, check in at the unique and famous BookXcess bookstore on the 2nd floor of RexKL (old cinema).
Quoc emphasized that you must try the Panda ice cream, priced at 13 ringgit (about 70,000 VND). At night, China Town is always bustling and there is no shortage of interesting experiences to explore.

The next day, visitors should visit Batu Caves, one of the top places in Kuala Lumpur, about 15 km from the center. The cave is always cool inside even when it is hot outside. Quoc's most convenient and cheapest way to get there is to call a motorbike taxi.
In the afternoon, visitors can visit Petronas, the iconic twin towers of Malaysia. According to him, taking pictures of the towers during the day will be bright enough, but if you wait until Petronas lights up, this will be a beautiful scene. Traveling in the center of Kuala Lumpur by bus is completely free and most of the attractions are also free.
Bangkok, Thailand
Travel blogger Phan The Anh shared that he prioritizes Thailand during Tet because of the short flight time and many airlines to choose from. In addition, Thailand is always bustling, so there is no need to worry about shops closing during Tet. For many Vietnamese, Tet is a good time to visit temples, so Thailand is also an ideal destination with many famous temples and pagodas such as Wat Arun, Wat Pho, Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Traimit.

"During Tet, I don't prioritize time to explore much, mainly enjoying a vacation in a hotel with good service, close to the center," he said. Normally, a trip to Bangkok combined with Phuket or Krabi by The Anh will last 6 days, 5 nights with a cost of about 30 million VND for both him and his parents.
This blogger said that Thailand has countless delicious dishes that many people already know. However, one dish he suggests tourists should try is "foythong" - a simple dish made from eggs and sugar with a sweet taste, easy to eat, and cheap.
