On the morning of March 27, Cam Xuyen district held a regular meeting to assess the implementation of socio-economic, national defense and security tasks and summarize the work of natural disaster prevention and control - search and rescue in 2024; and deploy tasks in 2025.

According to the socio-economic development report of Cam Xuyen district, in the first quarter of 2025, the whole district achieved a total product value of VND 3,448 billion (an increase of 9.4% over the same period in 2024 and equal to 38.2% of the 2025 plan). Of which, the agriculture - forestry - fishery sector reached VND 935 billion (an increase of 3.5% over the same period in 2024 and equal to 36.2% of the 2025 plan); the industry - construction sector reached VND 1,117 billion (an increase of 14% over the same period in 2024 and equal to 38% of the 2025 plan); the trade - service - tourism sector reached VND 1,396 billion (an increase of 10% over the same period in 2024 and equal to 38.3% of the 2025 plan).

In the first 3 months of the year, Cam Xuyen district's budget revenue reached more than 53.4 billion VND (14% of the plan and 82% compared to the same period in 2024); total social investment reached 600 billion VND (32.4% of the plan and 95.2% compared to the same period in 2024).

The new rural construction program continues to be vigorously implemented. The entire district has built 2,480 m of new roads, upgraded 5 cultural houses and 1 village sports area, planted 18,000 m of green fences, built 300 drainage ditches, planted 1,800 shade trees...

Thien Cam tourist area and tourist attractions in Cam Xuyen attracted more than 155,800 visitors in the first 3 months of the year.

In the first quarter, the locality welcomed more than 155,800 visitors, thereby achieving revenue of more than 48 billion VND. The work of site clearance for key projects has received attention, contributing to speeding up the construction progress of projects, promoting socio-economic development.

Regarding natural disaster prevention, Cam Xuyen district has focused on strengthening the steering committee; reviewing key works that are at risk of causing unsafety before the rainy and stormy season to proactively deploy solutions. Currently, 100% of localities, agencies and units located in the area have proactively provided human resources, materials and means, ensuring the "four on-site" motto.

In the coming time, it is recommended that the district's professional sector and the Party Committee and authorities focus on pest prevention; continue to expand the pineapple growing area in association with production, step up the direction of building new rural areas; strengthen the removal of obstacles in land use investment projects; and speed up the investment progress of the Cam Nhuong industrial cluster project.

The tourist season is approaching, so departments, localities and units are requested to focus on implementing tasks and solutions to ensure favorable conditions for sea tourism activities; mobilize resources to upgrade and repair facilities and infrastructure at Thien Cam Beach Tourist Area; and build new tourism products in the area.

Along with that, the entire political system needs to focus on implementing site clearance work; strengthening budget collection in the area, especially speeding up land auctions; organizing and implementing cultural and social tasks well; taking care of social security; especially promoting the construction of temporary houses and dilapidated houses for poor households, near-poor households, and households with housing difficulties in the area...
