NDO – On October 25, the People's Committee of Dai Loc district (Quang Nam) announced that 15 students from Nguyen Ngoc Binh Primary School (Dai Hiep commune, Dai Loc district) were hospitalized due to suspected food poisoning after eating yogurt.
Initial information, at around 1pm on October 24, after waking up from their afternoon nap, more than 250 students of Nguyen Ngoc Binh Primary School were given yogurt and ate at the school's boarding area. About 30 minutes later, 15 students in different grades showed symptoms of stomachache, vomiting, and some showed signs of fatigue.
Upon discovering the incident, the Board of Directors of Nguyen Ngoc Binh Primary School took these students to Dai Hiep Commune Health Station, then transferred them to the Northern Mountainous Region General Hospital of Quang Nam for health check-up and monitoring.

By early this afternoon (October 25), all students' health had stabilized and 14 students were discharged from the hospital to go home; one case of enteritis remained in the hospital for observation and is expected to be discharged early next week.
Vice Chairman of Dai Loc District People's Committee Dang Van Ky said that the district People's Committee has directed health agencies to continue monitoring and taking care of the students' health; at the same time, assigned functional agencies to inspect and verify the cause of the incident.
