Before this incident, on the evening of January 10, the Dormitory Management Center of Ho Chi Minh City National University had detailed information.
Accordingly, the security guard in the clip is from Nam Hai Son Security Service Company - the unit providing security services to the Dormitory Management Center, on duty at the main gate of dormitory area B.
After working and verifying with Nam Hai Son Company, the Dormitory Management Center confirmed that there was an incident where a security guard holding a bamboo stick acted unprofessionally and assaulted a young man who parked his car outside the main gate of dormitory area B as shown in the clip.
The incident happened between 10:58 p.m. and 11:02 p.m. The young man who was threatened by the security guard was taking his younger brother to dormitory B, and was not a resident student at the dormitory.
Upon verification, the security guard reported: because the young man parked his car right at the car entrance barrier, he was reminded, but this person did not comply, so the security guard used a stick to threaten the young man.
The director of Nam Hai Son Security Service Company has issued a written apology to the Dormitory Management Center, the person threatened by the security guard, and the students for the above unfortunate incident.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City National University Dormitory Management Center, security guards behaving in an uncivilized manner, using inappropriate language, and threatening the safety of people coming to the dormitory are unacceptable behaviors.
The center has worked with Nam Hai Son Security Service Company, requesting that this security guard be terminated from performing his duties and not be assigned to the center. At the same time, it is necessary to rectify the working style, manners, and attitude of security guards in general.
The dormitory management center is ready to coordinate with the police to clarify the incident when requested by the threatened person or the police.
The dormitory management center apologizes to the person who was threatened, and hopes that students will actively provide information if they discover any unsatisfactory behavior from the center's staff or related partners for timely handling.
