Yen Bai - According to plan, at exactly 7:30 a.m. on February 13, Yen Bai province will hold a military enlistment ceremony in 9/9 districts, towns and cities to send off 1,369 citizens to join the army and fulfill their sacred duty to the Fatherland.

In 2025, Yen Bai province was assigned the target of recruiting 1,369 citizens, including 1,100 citizens participating in military service and 269 citizens participating in public security service.
The new recruits will be handed over to the receiving units including: General Staff of Military Region 2, Division 304, Division 316, Division 355, Brigade 297 of Military Region 2; General Staff, Border Guard Command, Office of the Investigation Police Agency - Ministry of Public Security, Guard Command, Mobile Police Command, Department of Police Management of Prisons, Compulsory Education Facilities - Reformatory School of the Ministry of Public Security.
The selection and calling of citizens to join the army was carried out in accordance with regulations, ensuring objectivity and fairness. The rate of recruited youth aged 18 to 21 was 91%, of which nearly 60% had health class 1 and 2. Regarding education level, 98.4% of citizens had secondary and high school degrees, of which 1.6% had technical qualifications from intermediate to university. Notably, 243 young people volunteered to join the army and 211 new recruits were party members.
2025 is the first year that military service examinations will be carried out according to Circular 105/2023/TT-BQP of the Ministry of National Defense, effective from January 1, 2024. This Circular provides more specific regulations on health standards and supplements paraclinical techniques during the examination process such as X-ray, ultrasound, blood tests, etc. to support doctors in making more accurate diagnoses, improving the quality of military recruitment, and limiting the situation of compensation after military service.
Since 2024, localities in the province have focused on military recruitment, organizing strict, fair and proper preliminary examinations. 100% of eligible citizens have received their enlistment orders. Up to this point, the mental and health status of the new recruits are all good, ready to depart for duty.
The Provincial Military Command - Standing Agency of the Provincial Military Service Council has organized inspection teams in all districts, towns and cities to ensure that the military transfer and reception work takes place according to plan.
Before the departure date, localities have organized many practical activities to encourage new recruits. The program "Military Enlistment Day" will take place on the afternoon of February 12, 2025 (ie January 15, At Ty year) with many meaningful activities such as: visiting the Martyrs' Cemetery, planting souvenir trees, organizing campfires, cultural and artistic exchanges... This is an opportunity for young people to show their determination and spirit of readiness to leave to protect the Fatherland.
The military enlistment ceremony will take place simultaneously at 7:30 a.m. on February 13, 2025 (January 16, At Ty year). Localities in the province have fully prepared all conditions for the ceremony to take place solemnly, safely, economically, creating an exciting atmosphere, encouraging the spirit of young people to join the army.
With the active participation of Party committees, authorities, Military Service Councils at all levels and the enthusiastic response of young people, Yen Bai province is determined to successfully complete the military recruitment work in 2025, contributing to building a regular, elite, and gradually modern army.
