Building a strong and exemplary Trade Union of the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography

Attending the Congress were comrades who are members of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment; representatives of the Trade Unions of some units of the Ministry. On the side of the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography, there were Mr. Nguyen Phi Son, Party Secretary, Director of the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography, Deputy Directors and more than 100 officials and members of the Trade Union of the Institute.

In the summary report at the Congress, comrade Bui Nguyen Hoang - Chairman of the Trade Union, Chief of Office of the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography said that with the role and function of the trade union organization, closely following the guidelines, policies, resolutions of the Party, policies and laws of the State and the programs and work plans of the Trade Union of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Trade Union of the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography has successfully completed its tasks and well implemented the Resolution of the 5th Congress of the Trade Union of the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography for the 2019-2023 term.

The activities of the Institute's Trade Union organizations have improved, promoting their responsibility as representatives, caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers; being proactive and creative in organizing patriotic emulation movements; doing a good job of propaganda and education, contributing to improving the quality of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers to meet the development requirements in the new period.

Notably, the Institute's Trade Union has proactively proposed to the government to create a scientific working environment, improve work efficiency to increase income, stabilize life and implement policies and regimes for cadres, civil servants and workers. Women's work and activities on gender equality, excellent students, students with difficult circumstances who are children of cadres, civil servants and workers of the Institute have also received timely attention.

In addition, the Institute's Trade Union Executive Committee has actively directed and supervised the implementation of the Vietnam Trade Union Charter, Directives and Resolutions of higher-level trade unions, the work of developing union members, building a strong trade union organization, coordinating the implementation of the Grassroots Democracy Regulations, and organizing conferences for officials, civil servants and employees at the unit. The work of inspecting and supervising the implementation of regimes and policies related to employees is carried out regularly and in accordance with regulations.

At the same time, the Institute's Trade Union has organized propaganda and education on traditions through many exciting activities to celebrate the country's major holidays. The Trade Union also coordinated with the government to launch many emulation movements such as: Good workers; Implementing the Law on Anti-Corruption and the Law on Thrift Practice; Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh;...

Also according to comrade Bui Nguyen Hoang, in the 2023-2028 term, the Trade Union of the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography aims to continue to innovate the content and methods of trade union activities, contributing to building an increasingly strong team of cadres, civil servants and employees; taking care to protect the legitimate rights and interests of cadres, civil servants and employees, contributing to the successful implementation of the Institute's political tasks; building a strong Trade Union of the Institute in all aspects. Promoting the right to mastery, implementing the democratic regulations at the grassroots level; taking care to protect the legitimate rights and interests of cadres, civil servants and employees. Effectively organizing patriotic emulation movements; actively participating in the fight against corruption and waste; actively participating in administrative reform; participating in Party building, building clean and strong agencies and units.

In order to successfully complete the set goals and tasks, the Institute's Trade Union also set out a number of targets to strive for, specifically: striving for 90% or more of cadres, civil servants and workers to achieve the title of "Advanced Laborer"; 90% or more of female cadres, civil servants and workers to achieve the title of "Good at public work, good at housework" at all levels; striving for 90% or more of trade unions to achieve the title of grassroots trade unions that have excellently completed their tasks every year. Annually, organizing conferences for cadres, civil servants and workers to ensure content and quality in accordance with regulations; striving for many collectives and individuals to be awarded Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment Trade Union, Certificates of Merit by the Vietnam Civil Servants Trade Union; Excellent Emulation Flags or Certificates of Merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and other forms of rewards.

Speaking at the Congress, on behalf of the Party Committee and the Institute's leadership, Comrade Nguyen Phi Son, Party Committee Secretary and Director of the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography, acknowledged the achievements that the Institute's Trade Union had achieved in the past term. The Director hoped that the new Trade Union Executive Committee would better complete the assigned tasks in order to build and innovate the organization and operation of the Institute's grassroots Trade Union to be strong and comprehensive, contributing to the implementation of the Institute's political tasks in the coming time.

Director Nguyen Phi Son also expressed his gratitude for the attention, direction, guidance, and regular and effective support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment's Trade Union, and the coordination and support of Trade Unions at all levels; and hoped that in the coming time, the Trade Union activities of the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography would continue to receive more attention and support.

Comrade Nguyen Phi Son, Director of the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography and Comrade Do Thi Hoai, Director of the Center for Deployment of Geodesy and Cartography Technology were honored to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Through monitoring and directly directing the activities of the Institute's Trade Union, speaking at the Congress, Comrade Duong Trung Thanh, Chairman of the Trade Union of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, highly appreciated the effective coordination between the Trade Union organization and the leaders of the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography to care for and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers. In particular, the achievements that the Trade Union of the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography has achieved in the past term have effectively contributed to the success of the Trade Union of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in particular and of the Natural Resources and Environment sector in general.

Comrade Duong Trung Thanh hopes that, in the coming term, the Institute's Trade Union Executive Committee needs to continue to do a good job of thoroughly grasping the Party's Resolutions, the State's legal policies, the key tasks of the Ministries and branches, closely following the requirements of performing assigned political functions and tasks, focusing on research, building a more profound, creative and effective action program.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, Deputy Director of the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography, was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union.

In particular, the Trade Union of the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography needs to continue to innovate its working methods, focus on improving the quality of the staff doing trade union work, and focus on organizing training and developing Party members with strong political will, sufficient capacity and qualifications to complete tasks, and dedication and enthusiasm for work.

Besides, the Institute's Trade Union needs to continue to maintain and promote emulation movements, social activities, gratitude, volunteer activities, etc.

At the Congress, with high consensus and trust, delegates attending the Congress elected 6 outstanding comrades to join the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography for the 2023-2028 term; elected 3 official delegates to represent the Trade Union of the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography to attend the Trade Union Congress of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for the 2023-2028 term.
