The results of implementing the Resolution of the 8th District Trade Union Congress, term 2018 - 2023, achieved 11/12 targets. The district currently has 2,017 union members at 83 grassroots unions. From 2018 to present, the district has nearly 8,500 union members and workers studying, propagating, and disseminating the Party's directives and resolutions, the State's policies and laws, and union resolutions.
The District Labor Federation mobilized more than 400 million VND to support Covid-19 prevention; participated in supporting Tet gifts for union members and workers in difficult circumstances with an amount of nearly 140 million VND; built the Trade Union Shelter Fund; National Fund to support job creation; Fund for poor union members... with a total of all types of funds of over 2 billion VND; supported 15 union members in difficult circumstances with housing worth over 600 million VND...
During the term, the district had 12 individuals awarded the "For the cause of the Trade Union" Medal, the District Labor Federation was recognized as a "Strong Unit" for 5 consecutive years and in 2019 received the emulation flag of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor along with many collectives and individuals receiving certificates of merit from the General Confederation. The whole district had 2,460 initiatives recognized as district-level initiatives; 5 individuals with typical and excellent topics and initiatives were awarded certificates of merit by the Provincial People's Committee.
At the Congress, delegates elected a new Executive Committee of 14 members. Comrade Tran Van Luat was elected by the Congress to hold the position of Chairman of the District Labor Federation, term IX, 2023-2028.
The congress elected a delegation of 14 comrades to attend the higher-level union congress.
On this occasion, the District People's Committee awarded 9 collectives and 11 individuals with outstanding achievements in trade union activities for the 2018-2023 term. The District Labor Federation awarded certificates of merit to 2 collectives and 7 individuals.
