Mr. Huynh Ngoc Chon re-elected Chairman of the Construction Trade Union of Binh Thuan province

On July 11, the Construction Trade Union held the 12th Trade Union Congress for the 2023-2028 term. Attending were representatives of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Department of Construction and 100 official delegates representing nearly 2,200 union officials and members in the Construction industry.

Up to now, Binh Thuan Construction Trade Union is managing 36 grassroots trade unions with 2,127 union members/2,135 workers and employees. Of which, the state administrative sector has 5 grassroots trade unions, and non-state enterprises have 30 grassroots trade unions. In the past term, 5 more grassroots trade unions were admitted and 6 grassroots trade unions were dissolved.

During the past term, the Industry Union has focused on directing its subordinate Trade Unions to implement the Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Construction Industry Trade Union, term 2018 - 2023 and the resolutions of the trade union congresses at all levels to ensure suitability and the situation of innovation. Trade union activities are associated with expertise, promoting the sense of responsibility, focusing on the grassroots; there are many breakthrough solutions; innovating the content and methods of trade union activities. In addition, effectively implementing key task groups, closely following the goals and targets set by the Congress resolution. Focusing on performing well the function of representing, protecting and caring for the rights and interests of union members and employees; implementing union welfare programs, providing timely support to union members and employees in especially difficult circumstances, natural disasters, storms and floods...

In addition, propaganda and education work has many innovations and positive changes, contributing to creating consensus in the industry and society for the industry's innovation policy. Actively participate in management, implement democracy well in agencies, units, and enterprises; improve moral qualities and professional capacity for the team of employees to meet new requirements... In particular, well organize emulation movements among female employees, activities on population, family, children, care and protect the legitimate rights and interests of female union members; promote the emulation movement "Good at public affairs, good at housework"...

With the motto of the Congress "Innovation - Democracy - Solidarity - Development", trade unions at all levels in the Construction industry set out a number of tasks for the 2023 - 2028 term. Accordingly, they will closely follow Resolution 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on "Innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation" to innovate the content and methods of operation in a practical and effective direction. Taking the legitimate and legitimate needs and aspirations of the majority of union members and workers as the basis for organizing activities in parallel with improving the political capacity, professional skills, legal awareness, and social responsibility of union members and workers. Focus on fostering, discovering, and replicating good models, initiatives, and innovations that bring about efficiency in union activities and expertise...

Delegates elected the 12th Executive Committee of the Construction Industry

At the congress, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation Pham Quoc Luy highly appreciated the achievements of the Construction Trade Union in the past term, although the construction industry in the province still faces many difficulties, especially being affected by the Covid-19 epidemic. Regarding the direction and tasks in the coming term, Mr. Luy emphasized: Construction Trade Unions at all levels need to continue to strongly innovate the content and form of propaganda and education, suitable for each subject, unit, and enterprise to further raise awareness of union members and workers about the State's legal policies and the Party's guidelines and policies. Effectively perform the function of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers. In addition, the XIIth Construction Trade Union Executive Committee pays more attention to improving educational, professional and technical qualifications; Training a team of skilled and highly qualified workers... In particular, focusing on developing union members, establishing grassroots unions, promptly removing and resolving difficulties and problems at the grassroots level...

With the spirit of democracy and responsibility, the Congress elected the 12th Executive Committee of the Provincial Construction Trade Union for the 2023-2028 term, consisting of 10 members. Mr. Huynh Ngoc Chon was re-elected as Chairman of the Binh Thuan Provincial Construction Trade Union. The Congress also elected a delegation of 5 delegates to attend the Binh Thuan Provincial Trade Union Congress and 2 delegates to attend the Vietnam Construction Trade Union Congress - term 2023-2028.
