During the operating period on April 10, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance decided not to set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for all petroleum products.
Accordingly, each liter of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by VND 1,491 compared to the current base price to VND 18,882/liter, RON 95-III gasoline decreased by VND 1,712 to the new price of VND 19,207/liter.
Diesel, kerosene and fuel oil also decreased sharply, respectively by 1,235 VND, 1,322 VND and 1,124 VND, down to new prices of 17,243 VND/liter, 17,413 VND/liter and 15,902 VND/kg.
In the previous 3 consecutive adjustments, gasoline prices were adjusted upward. In the most recent adjustment, on April 3, gasoline prices were adjusted upward from 340-495 VND/liter, and all types of oil also had new prices after increasing from 124-261 VND/liter.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade said that the world oil market from April 3-9, 2025 was affected by major factors such as: the US announced high tariffs on goods from a series of trading partners, US crude oil inventories increased, the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continued... Therefore, world oil prices in recent days have decreased sharply.
