The project started on September 4, 2024, with a total investment of over 559 billion VND. The 220kV Phu Binh 2 transformer station has a scale of installing 3 250MVA transformers, of which phase 1 has completed the installation of 2 250MVA-220/110/22kV transformers. At the same time, a new 9.16 km double-circuit 220kV line will be built, connecting to the 220kV Thai Nguyen - Bac Giang line.
The project was completed after just over 6 months of construction, overcoming many challenges in terms of site, construction conditions and weather.
This progress demonstrates high determination and is also a clear demonstration of EVNNPC's capacity in operating, organizing construction and supervising the quality of key power projects, especially 220kV power projects - a type of project that requires high technical requirements and is of strategic significance to the national power system.
The project's energization and commissioning on schedule, ensuring quality, has promptly met the increasing electricity demand of the area, especially in Phu Binh Industrial Park, industrial clusters and neighboring medium-voltage loads.
The project also contributes to strengthening grid connectivity, improving power quality for the 110kV grid, ensuring safety and stability for the national power system.
