World Travel Awards explains the honoring of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam

VOV.VN - At the 2024 Asia and Oceania regional awards ceremony, the World Travel Awards honored many units and destinations in Quang Nam province, including an award given to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province.

On the evening of September 3 in Manila (Philippines), the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province received the award "Asia's Leading Local Tourism Management Agency 2024" presented by the World Travel Awards. Talking to VOV.VN reporter about the reason for awarding the award to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province, Mr. Graham Cooke - founder of the World Travel Awards said that "very strong tourism marketing campaigns are the reason why Quang Nam Tourism surpasses other nominees".

“The tourism management agency in Quang Nam has made great efforts in promoting local tourism resources on social media platforms. I have been to Quang Nam, the heritage, culture and street food here are wonderful. This award not only brings Quang Nam to the world but also once again shows the diversity of Vietnam tourism,” Mr. Graham Cooke told VOV.VN.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province, the World Travel Awards award to Quang Nam tourism is a recognition from international friends and partners around the world, continuing to be a driving force for Quang Nam tourism to exploit its tourism potential in a green and sustainable direction; constantly innovate, improve the quality of products and services, spread the attractiveness, attract international tourists around the world to explore and fully experience Quang Nam in particular and Vietnam in general. This is the first time the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of a locality in Vietnam has received the award "Asia's Leading Local Tourism Management Agency". Last year, the winner of this category was the Sabah Department of Tourism (Sabah state, Malaysia). This year, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism was honored for the second time as "Asia's Leading City-Level Tourism Management Agency 2024", after the first time in 2022. In 2023, this award was given to the Hanoi Department of Tourism.
