On behalf of the whole team, striker Huynh Nhu sent thanks to the fans for their interest and support for the Vietnamese women's team. Huynh Nhu expressed: "Thank you everyone for your love for the Vietnamese women's team. Although the weather in Auckland is very cold, my teammates and I always feel warm thanks to everyone's love. This will be the motivation for the whole team to compete at our best."

Sharing about the recent training days in New Zealand, coach Mai Duc Chung said: “We have come to a very beautiful country, New Zealand. The whole team is in a very good mood. Today is even more fun because everyone has come here to interact.”

Coach Mai Duc Chung also thanked the fans for their gifts and wished everyone good health. Representatives of the Vietnamese community in Auckland also shared their joy when the Vietnamese women's team came to compete here. "We don't care what the score is, what the result is, you are always in our hearts," said coach Mai Duc Chung.

During the training session on the afternoon of July 18, coach Mai Duc Chung divided his players into groups and played an internal competition for a short period of time. During the training session, there was a slight collision between striker Pham Hai Yen and midfielder Duong Thi Van. However, the team doctors quickly handled the situation and ensured the health of the players before the opening match of the 2023 World Cup against the US team on July 22.
